Savannah

Look at this sweet face. I was so happy to photograph Savannah with her mom and dad. Amy and Caleb Braddock of Braddock Chiropractic in Van Alstyne are the proud parents. Do you like the hand painting of the details? Amy and Caleb chose this image for the cover of their baby announcements.

Catching up

You may be able to tell our busy season is in the spring since I haven't blogged since February. Let's see... Sarah, our intern, graduated from OSU in December with an Associate of Arts degree in Photography. It was a very intensive course of study in photography and through it Sarah has developed a very unique style of portraiture. Her portraits are highly stylized, a boutique kind of portraiture. Like this beautiful image of Shelly, Sarah's images tell a story.

Audrie, one of our lead photographers, had her baby in March. After a few weeks she was back at work designing wedding albums and photographing weddings. Meet adorable Aleia:

Robin, another one of our interns, graduated from Texas Womens University in May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Art. While she won many awards, probably her most distinctive award was to have an acrylic self portrait, "the artist" chosen to hang in the largest classroom facility at Texas Womens University.

Lucas Pittman

A while back Audrie photographed Lucas Pittman for his upcoming cd. Now that he has released that cd, "A Taste for Texas", I thought it would be fun to show you his cd cover. You can read more about Lucas Pittman at his website. I hear he is on My Space, too.

Lori and Jamie

It is great to work with Jamie and Lori again. A portrait of an artist demands something a little different, a little edgy. Here Mike used Jamie's shop for the background. Whether Jamie is working on a new design, or pinstriping an old Model A, he finds inspiration surrounded by his collectables.

Shopping

Sometimes the best portraits are the ones that show what your life is all about - at least in a moment of time. With a Blackberry in one hand and a Build-A-Bear in the other, Samantha window shops at the new Pearland Town Center in the Houston Area.
